Curricular Activities (CCA) program offers students a wide range of opportunities to explore new interests, develop skills, and build confidence in a supportive and engaging environment.

Primary School Co-Curricular Activities

The Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme is provided within the school offering as well as through carefully selected paid providers:

• 1 guranteed CCA per term at no charge. 
• More CCAs can be signed up for at no charge but space is not guaranteed.
• Students in Year 5 and 6 are able to sign up for the CCA leaders programme whereby the support the running of a CCA with a teacher. Typically 2 students per CCA.
• Paid CCAs are on offer throughout the week.
• Due to the shorter day, wrap around care is available for our KG students at an additional charge through our provider ISM.

Sign up process

The sign up process does require active parent participation. All information is on our CCA guide and takes your though how to ensure you children make the most of this aspect of our wider curriculum. 

• First come First serve - these are open CCAs that go live at a designated time. Parents sign up and when the spaces are allocated then no more can be added
• Invitation only - A student is invited to join the CCA by the school or teacher
• Squad - Students must attend trials and if selected will need to commit to both training and games (up to 3 sessions per week)
• Audition - For CCAs such as the School Musical, Upper School Choir, MUN, TEDx Youth students attend an audition
• Waitlist - If a CCA is full then students can be placed on a waitlist and when space is available they will be notified
• Open CCA - During the year, Open CCAs are available in certain sports that allow any number of students to freely attend and try out what is on offer. These include, although not in the same term, cross-country running, girls and boys football and netball. Age groups vary by term and details of these are shareed on our CCA booklet.

Secondary School Co-Curricular Activities

Dubai International Academy offers a variety of Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) for students. A selection of activities from art, reading club, musical instruments, drama, organised sports activities, computer courses, science clubs, photography and others co-curricular activities are offered in a supervised setting.

The Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) program is provided within the school framework at no extra charge. As per the school policy, one after-school activity is provided per student.

• All activities are for both girls and boys.
• A minimum of six students is necessary for each activity, and the maximum depends on the activity.
• Each student will be allowed one activity only per semester.
• Changes to the stated activities will not be allowed during the semester.
